We had the privilege of working on one of the oldest trees in Portland, ME. This Copper Beech spans three back yards, a parking area, and an apartment building. We were able to provide structure clearance, reduce end weight, and improve tree structure all within a management plan that will improve the health of the tree. It took three of us two days of technical climbing and thoughtful decision making. As an added bonus, the client elected to keep all wood chips on site and use them in place of dyed bark mulch for perennial flower beds and at the base of the Copper Beech. Symbiosis is the future of tree care.

It was a tough decision to put down such an old tree, but, with a heavy lean toward the house, seeping vertical cracks, and a dead upper crown, this tree was a serious hazard.
